Freshman Years

Verse 1 [Peter]

I've been rocking all my courses since my freshman years
But lately things've been rocky with these tests, man
Here's a breakdown of my mental psyche
And it might be a little loose, so I squeeze it tightly
My teachers are the worst, It sure feels like a curse
I think I might just burst if I can't just pass this course

But I'll be fine, I think
I think I'll take some time
To look for something out there that's probably sublime
And feel free to chime in
I'm a lion and the campus is the jungle
Nothing's too big to handle
Let me light up like a candle and shine through
But let me thank you for listening through this minute rant
And I bid you all adieu, for now

Verse 2 [Kid Kay]

Lectures, textbooks, tutors, class
List of stuff I think are crap
A college AKA a trap
Where imagination runs its final lap

And I'm only in my first year
Got 3 more before I start my career
So I'm studying for my tests and it's making me depressed
Guess I gotta shed tears to make the top tier

Next is all the partying and drinking
Thursday, Friday, Saturday — repeating
Driving, though my booze levels are exceeding
Outside having fun but still trying to reach the ceiling

Dreamt I made it out with first class
Surprisingly I got a job fast
But the salary's a gnome, not enough to pay my loans
That's the lesson that I learned — life's first class

Outro [Kid Kay & Peter]

I may be fresh now
But can't wait until I'm fresh out
I may be fresh now
But can't wait until I'm fresh out
(Fresh out)
