Ode to dad

When life became a curvy road
Where turns made tires squeal
Through rubber streaks I learned to trust
The man behind the wheel

When life became a forest
Where wolves and foxes prowl
My dad became a predator
The fauna feared his growl

My dad became the wind
When life became a fog
When life demanded paragraphs
He spoke the Word of God

Life could have been a haymaker
But he made it more a jab
So for his shapeshifting abilities
Happy Father's day to Dad
